An Introduction

I have been a practioner of clinical Hypnotherapy in Hornsea and The East Riding of Yorkshire for the past 10 years. Over this time I have had a number of FAQ which I have set out here. However it is appropriate for me to make a few introductory remarks at the outset to assist you in understanding the principles and practices of hypnotherapy.

The information that governs our behaviours, habits and the way we perceive our world is stored in the unconscious levels of our minds. All our memories are stored here where they continue to have an important affect on the way we live our daily lives.

Alas, sometimes we pick up problems perhaps through repartition or trauma which our inner mind then retains and may form a habit or phobia.

A skilled hypnotherapist,  helps to alleviate, eliminate or lessen these habits and phobias through the use of hypnosis. The great thing about hypnosis is that it uses the natural abilities of the clients own mind to safely bring about the changes required whilst under their own control.
